Furans Bound Face‐On: Sequential Loss of CO in the Formation of [W(CO)44‐2,5‐dimethylfuran)]

Abstract: Der ungewöhnliche η4‐Koordinationsmodus wird für den Furanliganden in [(CO)4W(η4‐Me2Fur)] (2; Me2Fur=2,5‐Dimethylfuran) postuliert. 2 entsteht bei der Photolyse von [W(CO)6]‐Lösungen in Gegenwart eines Überschusses an Me2Fur. Reaktionskinetik und Aktivierungsparameter der Bildung von 2 aus der instabilen Vorstufe [(CO)5W(η1‐Me2Fur)] (1) wurden durch zeitaufgelöste IR‐Spektroskopie bestimmt.
