Further calculations on solubility of 2-chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine in ethanol + 1-propanol solvent mixtures at various temperatures

Abstract

The reported calculations on solubility data of 2-chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine in binary ethanol + 1-propanol solvent mixtures at various temperatures have been reanalyzed and several additional points regarding the correlations were reported. In addition preferential solvation of 2chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine in ethanol + 1-propanol mixtures were investigated by means of the inverse Kirkwood-Buff integrals method. Apparently no preferential solvation of this compound by both organic solvents is observed because the respective parameters are lower than 0.01 in all the analyzed compositions.
