FUTPRINT50 Academy – Aircraft Design Challenge 2022: Development of a hybrid-electric regional aircraft

Abstract

This proceeding presents summaries of three different European student teams in regard to their work within the FUTPRINT50 Academy Aircraft Design Challenge 2022. The task required them to design a regional aircraft with a newly developed hybrid-electric powertrain. The students came up with very different configurations that all led to sophisticated designs of more sustainable regional aircraft.
