Future Trends for Healthcare Monitoring System in Smart Cities Using LoRaWAN-Based WBAN

Abstract: LoRa technology is extensively utilized in the Internet of Things world. It allows a transmission of a low volume of data through small wireless devices. The principle of LoRa networks is to transmit data over the air from sensors with low transmission range, for about tens of kilometers. Those sensors are not expected to be powered by electricity, and they are powered by batteries. We understand that visits to hospitals cannot be eliminated and that visits for full examinations were necessary, but technologic… Show more

“…The results of integration testing between Things Network (TTN) and IoT Server (ThingSpeak) for the LoRaWAN system have been successfully realized and provided good results [109]. This shows that the interconnection of LoRaWAN technology from sensor nodes to IoT servers has been established effectively [110].…”

“…In smart homes there is no standard routing protocol to route the data from one device to another. Mostly Smart Homes establish a standard Ad hoc Network of devices including elderly patients [38]. We have introduced the relay-based routing inside the smart homes to effectively route the data from multiple sensor nodes towards the relay node.…”
