Fuzzy Based Condition Monitoring Tool for Real-Time Analysis of Synthetic Ester Fluid as Transformer Insulant

Abstract: The present study deals with understanding insulation performance of thermally aged synthetic ester fluid through the measurements of corona inception voltage (CIV), fluorescent characteristics and dielectric loss. CIV tests were performed on thermally aged ester fluid, under AC voltage. The reduction in CIV was observed to be 54.3 % with the thermally aged ester fluid in presence of the magnetic field.
