Fuzzy Logic Controlled Harmonic Suppressor in Cascaded Multilevel Inverter

Abstract: <p>This paper presents an investigation of seven level cascaded H-bridge (CHB) inverter in power system for compensation of harmonics. For power quality  control a Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC)  giving comparatively better harmonic reduction than the conventional controllers. Harmonic distortion is the most important power quality problem stirring in multilevel inverter, the harmonics can be eliminated by an optimal selection of switching angles. A hybrid evaluation technique evaluates the obtained optimal sw… Show more

“…Nevertheless, it will augment the size and cost of inverter circuit [25]- [27]. Implementing an effective controller is another alternative to address this power quality problem [28]- [35]. This paper discussses an implementation of hysteresis current controller in an inductor-cell based five-level CSI circuit.…”

“…In order to obtain higher power of inverter circuits, a multilevel inverter has been introduced. This multilevel inverter generates a multistep AC output waveform from a single or multi DC input power [13][14][15][16]. When the input power is a single or multiple DC voltage sources and the output is a multistep AC voltage, the power inverter is called as multilevel voltage source inverter [17,18].…”
