Abstract: In this paper, we apply fuzzy soft set theory through well-known Sanchez's approach for medical diagnosis using fuzzy arithmetic operations and exhibit the technique with a hypothetical case study.

“…The result is in agreement with [18],Let us observe another example Let us consider the following pattern recognition problem as discussed in [19]. given five known patterns, which corresponds to five decision alternatives d 1 That is, we will find which one of the five decisions is mostly close to the unknown sample r. It means that the decision alternative d 5 is the optimal alternative which is the closest alterative to positive ideal solution. This result is in agreement with the one obtained in [19].…”

“…Now-a-days soft sets theory has been applied in variety of disciplines such as such as smoothness of functions, game theory, operation research, measurement theory, medical diagnosis, decision making, algebra etc. (Acar, 2010 [1]; Molodtsov, 1999 [17]; Molodtsov, 2004 [18]; Roy and Maji, 2007 [20]; Celik and Yamak, 2013 [6], Majumdar and Samanta, 2010 [16], Ma et al, 2014 [12]). Yang et al (2009) [23] presented the concept of interval-valued fuzzy soft set by combining the interval-valued fuzzy set (Gorzalczany, 1987 [8]; Zadeh 1975 [24]) and soft set (Maji et al 2001 [15]) models.…”

“…Next the defuzzification method of a trapezoidal fuzzy number will be introduced (see [27]). Take a trapezoidal fuzzy number parameterized by a quadruplet ( 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ) as shown in Figure 1.…”
