Abstract: Clostridium perfringens is a major cause of infectious foodborne disease, frequently associated with the consumption of raw and undercooked food. Despite intensive studies on clarifying C. perfringens pathogenesis, the molecular mechanisms of host− pathogen interactions remain poorly understood.
