Gallbladder and Bile Duct Cancer

Abstract

Overview Biliary tract malignancy, which includes gallbladder cancer and cholangiocarcinoma, is an aggressive disease that is often advanced at the time of diagnosis and thus associated with a poor prognosis. In this article, we will review the epidemiology, risk factors, pathology, clinical presentation, diagnostic imaging modalities, and current treatment recommendations for gallbladder adenocarcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma.
