Abstract:Gamma radiation-induced degradation of methylene blue (MB) in aqueous solution was studied for two groups: one with suspension of Titania, TiO 2 , photo-catalyst and the other without it. Degradation of methylene blue by gamma-rays (doses range: 200-1000 Gy) was investigated by measuring the change of absorbance spectrophotometrically at λ max = 661 nm. Initial pH of solution (values 5, 7 and 9) was considered as a basic factor to study. The changes of pH values for irradiated methylene blue solutions with res… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
