Gamma‐Ray Irradiation Assisted Polyacrylamide Gel Synthesis of Scheelite Type BaWO4 Phosphors and Its Colorimetric, Optical and Photoluminescence Properties

Abstract: A gamma‐ray irradiation assisted polyacrylamide gel method is used to synthesize the scheelite‐type barium tungstate (BaWO4) phosphors with space group I41/a(88). Various instruments were employed to characterize and reveal the phase purity, microcosmic characteristics, chemical composition, surface micromorphology, colorimetric, optical and photoluminescence properties of BaWO4 phosphors. The phase structure and functional group analysis showed that the formation temperature of pure BaWO4 phosphor was 100 °C … Show more

“…For the BaFe12O19 xerogel prepared by TPGM and MPGM and sintered at different temperatures, four obvious characteristic peaks at 3441, 1631, 561 and 428 cm -1 can be observed. The characteristic peaks at 3441, 1631, 561 and 428 cm -1 can be ascribed to the H-O stretching vibration of adsorbed water, the H-O-H bending vibration of adsorbed water, the Fe-O4 and Fe-O6 bending vibrations, respectively [31][32][33][34][35][36][37]. For the BaFe12O19 nano -pigments prepared by TPGM (Fig.…”

“…33 The photoexcited carrier separation behavior is an important factor that significantly influences the photodegradation performance of photocatalysts, which can be characterized by PL spectroscopy. 47,48 As seen from Fig. 7, the PL spectra collected from all the samples show a broad PL emission peak at 380 nm, but their intensities are different.…”

“…Based on UV-Vis absorption spectra and Tauc theory (Tang et al, 2020;Zhao et al, 2020;Gao et al, 2021a;Wang et al, 2021e), the optical band gap (Eg) value of bulk ceria and micro-nano hierarchical ceria materials can be obtained.…”
