Gas Formation Reactions in the Raw Mixture Based on TPP Ash

Abstract: The article discusses the physicochemical mechanisms of the effect of chemical reagents on the processes of swelling of the raw mixture based on the ash of thermal power plants. The process of structure formation in such mixtures occurs as a result of physicochemical transformations of its constituent components. To intensify gas evolution and obtain materials of a porous structure, the presence of a gas former is necessary. The author has analysed the possibility of creating a porous structure in a raw mixtur… Show more

“…An important issue in the study of the processes of creating granular materials in vortex devices is the formation of symmetry of the vortex flow, which is usually achieved by increasing the number of outlets (Koshlak & Pavlenko 2019). Work (Pavlenko & Koshlak 2015) investigated the formation of an axisymmetric vortex ring by pulsed liquid pushing through a cyclone chamber.…”

“…The creation of new cyclone-vortex devices, such as bladeless nozzle devices, more efficient dust cyclones for cleaning all types of gases from dust, creation of high-temperature cyclone combustion chambers, rational vortex burners with different types of swirlers, vortex devices for creating granular thermal insulation materials requires the use of a method for calculating cyclone-vortex devices (Pavlenko & Koshlak 2021, Browand 1983, Koshlak & Pavlenko 2020.…”

“…It must be added that the indoor thermal environment is also investigated in buildings supplied with heat through the district heating systems, as indicated in (Nogaj et al 2017. However, regardless of the type of heat source, the most crucial aspect in terms of thermal comfort is always an efficient way of releasing heat from the human body to the environment as latent or sensible heat (Koshlak & Pavlenko 2020, Orman 2014, Orman & Chatys 2011, Pavlenko & Szkarowski 2018. This issue is especially vital when using radiant heat sources (Dudkiewicz et al 2022).…”

“…The emission of ash particles (fly ash and fuel assemblies) into the atmosphere is prevented by their separation from the flue gases in dust collectors. However, subsequent disposal of fuel assemblies poses a threat to the environment due to changes in the chemical composition of groundwater, acidification of soils, and the accumulation of potentially toxic elements [ 1 , 2 ].…”

“…To improve safety and protect the environment, it is relevant to introduce the concept of practically zero technologies for the disposal of waste and emissions from coal-fired thermal power plants. In this context, the fly ash of coal can be considered a raw material and not waste [ 4 ]. Because of its high silica content, fly ash has been considered to be the main raw material for zeolite synthesis.…”
