“…For example, Sadeghi et al reported that the addition of silica reduced crystallinity percentage of EVA. Adelnia et al observed the same behavior in EVA/sepiolite mixed matrix membranes. However, Chaudhary et al reported no change in crystallinity of EVA composites containing montmorillonite‐based organo‐modified clays.…”

“…Cyclic freezing-thawing of PVA solution results in phase separation of the growing ice crystals from polymer chains. The ice crystals push away polymer-enriched regions, and then the phase separated PVA regions are crystallized and form inter-and intra-molecular hydrogen bonding interactions, consisting the junctions of the formed networks [11][12][13][14][15][16].…”

“…Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) can be considered as one of the most promising candidates, leading to both excellent antibacterial and mechanical properties if its uniform dispersion in the host matrix is achieved [5,13,[22][23][24][25][26]. One facile strategy is to synthesize AgNPs in situ in the matrix, that is, reduction of Ag 1 ions, for which both suitable reducing agent and stabilizer are required [27][28][29].…”

“…. Characteristic peaks of EVA are at 1,734 (CO), 1,234 (COC), 1,018 (COC), and 607 cm −1 (CO), ascribing to the absorption bands of vinyl acetate groups and 2,915, 2,846, 1,460, 1,367, and 720 cm −1 , assigning to the bands of ethylene groups . The absorption band at 1,735 cm −1 which is attributed to the carbonyl groups of vinyl acetate is of great importance as this band can be shifted to the lower wavenumbers when these groups are hydrogen bonded with a suitable hydrogen donor molecule.…”
