Gastroprotective Effect of Bidens pilosa L. Leaves against Indomethacin-Induced Gastric Ulceration in Rats
Abstract:Using an indomethacin (IND)-induced gastric ulcer model in rats, we sought to identify the phytochemical components of Bidens pilosa (B. pilosa) leaves and examine their gastroprotective effects. There was a total of 56 male albino adult rats used, split into 7 groups (n=8 rats per group). Group (1) was control -ve normal (non-treated) and group (2) was +ve control given orally 30 mg/ kg indomethacin (IND).
