Abstract:Background: Enzymatic digestion of extra cellular matrix proteins by proteinases of Leishmania promastigotes is a complex process. Hence, studies on functional proteomics of these enzymes can help select these enzymes as possible vaccine candidates or selecting candidates for chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
