Abstract: Reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation is required for effective plant defense. Accumulation of the Arabidopsis NADPH oxidase RBOHD is regulated by phosphorylation of a conserved C-terminal residue (T912) leading to ubiquitination by the RING E3 ligase PIRE.
