Bullous fixed-drug eruption (FDE) is a rare but potentially severe cutaneous drug reaction that presents with erythema, edema, and bullae formation. FDE lesions are often caused by drugs such as antibiotics, anticonvulsants, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The diagnosis of FDE is primarily clinical and may be supported by histopathological examination. Treatment for FDE lesions involves immediate discontinuation of the offending drug and supportive care, including topical and systemic corticosteroids. There is growing evidence to suggest that both COVID-19 and its vaccination can induce skin reactions. We report a case of a 14-year-old girl who developed a bullous FDE lesion following an anti-COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 immunization.
