A generalized magnetothermoelasticity, in the context of Lord-Shulman theory, is employed to investigate the interaction of a homogeneous and isotropic perfect conducting half space with rotation. The Laplace transform for time variable is used to formulate a vectormatrix differential equation which is then solved by eigenvalue method. The continuous solution of displacement component while the discontinuous solutions of stress components, temperature distribution, induced magnetic and electric field have been analyzed in an approximate manner using assymptotic expansion for small time. The graphical representations also prove this continuity and discontinuity of the solutions.
