Abstract:Generation of direct current (DC) electricity, especially
from
water, is extremely attractive. Here, by utilizing massive inherent
polarized charges of a lead zirconate titanate film, a ferroelectric-based
droplet electricity generator (FDEG) is proposed to achieve efficient
DC electricity generation from ionic droplets. The electrostatic field
that originated from the surface charges separates the charges of
opposite polarities in the solution. This separation process enables
the transportation of positive ch… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
