Generation and characteristics of an anomalous Airy vortex beam from a Lommel vortex beam

Abstract: A practical method for generating an anomalous Airy vortex beam is proposed, and characteristics of this novel kind beam are investigated. Results show that orbital angular momentum (OAM) quantum number n could be used to modulate the profiles of vortex rings, asymmetric parameter c would cause the beam rotation and phase distortion, and when increase control parameters α and β, more energy would concentrate on the side lobes, and the side lobes in the x-direction and y-direction separately would expand latera… Show more
