“…The acceleration responses are controlled in this study not to exceed a safety threshold of 0.1g during earthquakes to ensure that no damage occurs to the high-tech equipments. The three-dimensional seismic ground motion compatible with the design response spectrum specified in Chinese seismic design code is generated using the method proposed by Hong and Xu [9]. This artificial earthquake ground motions with peak accelerations equal to 0.11, 0.085, 0.064g along the x-, y-and z-directions, respectively, are applied to the coupled passive platform-building system to examine the control performance of the passive platform.…”
