Genetic association of Tumour necrosis factor alpha, Interleukin-18 and Interleukin 1 beta with the risk of coronary artery disease: A case-control study outcome from Kashmir

Abstract: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a clinical manifestation of atherosclerosis in the arteries supplying myocardium. Inflammation is the cornerstone in the development and progression of atherosclerosis. Amongst the various biomolecules tumour necrosis factor-a (TNF-a), interleukin-18 (IL-18) and interleukin-1b (IL-1b) build an inflammatory bionetwork in developing the disease.
