Genetic diversity and relationships among populations of Camellia japonica, an endangered species in China

Abstract: Camellia japonica, an evergreen ornamental plant in the Theaceae, its natural range is now shrinking. This is evidenced by the fact that the species is on the verge of extinction in Laoshan Mountain (Qingdao), the northernmost area of China for natural population of C. japonica.
