Abstract:An experiment was conducted to determine the magnitude of genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance as per cent over mean among twenty-two genotypes of garden pea using five quantitative and eight qualitative characters. The results of ANOVA showed significant differences among the genotypes for all the characters, indicating a wide spectrum of variability among the genotypes. The phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV) was higher than the corresponding genotypic coefficient of variation (GCV). T… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
