Abstract:Asthma is a complex respiratory disease, with both genetic and environmental factors contributing to disease susceptibility. Genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) have now identified novel risk alleles and loci associated with asthma diagnosis and more recently with clinical subgroups of disease.
