“…Studying relation between male infertility in humans with use of immunostaining for DNA methylation in a study, if there were high global methylation levels of ejaculated sperm DNA, it corresponded to higher pregnancy rates as compared to those having methylation defeats having infertility [81]. Using Methylight staining of 36 target genes using ilumina platform showed improperly increased levels of DNA methylation of imprinted genes along with repetitive elements in poor quality semen samples [82]. According to them increased methylation occurred due to an improper erasure of methylation marks in cases of oligo-astheno-teratozoospermia (OAT), rather than from denovo methylation following epigenetic reprogramming.…”
