Abstract: Pectobacterium atrosepticum (Pba) are phytopathogenic, pectinolytic, non-sporulating, gram-negative rods causing blackleg and soft rot diseases in potato. They are ubiquitously present under temperate climate conditions and contribute to significant economic losses.
