Genus Delplanqueia Leraut, 2001 and D. inscriptella (Duponchel, 1836) (Lepidoptera, Pyralidae) in Italy

Abstract: To verify the presence in Italy of Delplanqueia inscriptella, today accepted as a separate species from D. dilutella, we carried out the study of the historical collections of Carlo Prola and Federico Hartig and new material that was recently collected in central Italy. Both species are present in continental Italy and Sicily while only D. inscriptella in Sardinia.
