Abstract:This study is based on three cropped out clay profiles belonging to U1 Member of the Sahabi Formation at As Sahabi area in northeast Sirt Basin. This member horizon is the most productive layer in terms of fish, reptiles and mammals remains. Some of the collected samples were subjected to geochemical analysis using Perkin Elmer the ICP-OES to define the major oxides and Perkin Elmer SciexElan 9000 ICP-MS for trace elements.
