Resumo O granito Passagem compreende stocks, plugs e diques localizados na Serra de Ricardo Franco -município de Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade -Mato Grosso, pertencentes ao Terreno Paraguá, SW do cráton Amazônico. Constitui-se de monzo a sienogranitos e, mais raramente granodioritos, isotrópicos, leucocráticos de cor cinza-escuro até branco e textura preferencialmente equigranular hipidiomórfica a inequigranular xenomórfica, fina a média, tendo biotita como único mineral máfico primário essencial. Essas rochas caracterizam uma seqüência áci-da pouco expandida formada por um magmatismo sub-alcalino do tipo cálcio-alcalino de alto potássio, levemente peraluminoso, gerado em ambiente de arco magmático provavelmente em época pós-colisional. Mecanismo de cristalização fracionada de plagioclásio, biotita, titanita, apatita e zircão associado à concomitante assimilação crustal são sugeridos para a evolução dessas rochas. Os resultados aqui obtidos reforçam a hipótese de um magmatismo pós-colisional no Terreno Paraguá com idade de 1284 ± 20 Ma correspondendo à cristalização do Granito Passagem e permite reconhecê-lo como prolongamento, em terreno brasileiro, do Complexo granitóide Pensamiento. It consists of isotropic monzogranite, sienogranite and more rarely granodiorites with leucocratic dark gray to white color. These rocks range from hypidomorphic inequigranular to xenomorphic texture, fine to medium grained. Biotite is the only primary mafic present as essential phase and characterize an expanded slightly acid sequence formed by a sub-alkaline magmatism of high-potassium calc-alkaline, slightly peraluminous composition from arc magmatic tectonic environment during a post-collisional period. Mechanism of fractional crystallization of plagioclase, biotite, titanite, apatite and zircon associated with simultaneous crustal assimilation are suggested for the evolution of these rocks. The results support the hypothesis of a post-collisional magmatism in the Paraguá terrane at 1284 ± 20 Ma corresponding to the crystallization age of the Passagem granite. This paper propose that Passagem Granite represents as an extension in Brazilian terrane of the Pensamiento Granitoid Complex. Palavras-chave:

Morrinhos granite is a batholith body that is slightly elongated in the NNW direction and approximately 1,140 km 2 long; it is located in the municipality of Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade of the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, in the Paraguá Terrane, Rondonian-San Ignácio Province, in the SW portion of the Amazonian Craton. This intrusion displays a compositional variation from tonalite to monzogranite, has a medium to coarse inequigranular texture and is locally porphyritic; biotite is the predominant mafic in one of the facies, and hornblende is predominant in the other, with both metamorphosed into the greenschist facies. The studied rocks characterize an intermediate to acidic sequence that was formed by a subalkaline magmatism; the series is alkali-calcic to metaluminous to slightly peraluminous, and the rocks evolved through fractioned crystallization mechanisms. The structural data show two deformation phases represented by penetrative foliation (S 1 ) and open folds (D 2 ), and both phases were most likely related to the San Ignácio Orogeny. The geochronological (U-Pb SHRIMP) and isotopic (Sm-Nd) investigations of these rocks indicated a crystallization age of 1350 ± 12 Ma, T DM of approximately 1.77 Ga and εNd (1.35) with a negative value of -2.57, suggesting that their generation was related to a partial melting process of a Paleoproterozoic (Statherian) continental crust. The results herein indicate that the Morrinhos granite was generated in a continental magmatic arc in a late-to post-orogenic stage of the San Ignácio Orogeny, and it can be recognized as belonging to the Pensamiento Intrusive Suite. The Amazonian craton major accretionary and collisional processes may be correlated to supercontinent assemblies developed at several times in the Earth history. Based on geologic, structural and paleomagnetic evidence paleocontinent reconstructions have been proposed for Archean to younger times. The oldest continent (Ur) was formed probably by five Achaean cratonic areas (Kaapvaal, Western Dhawar, Bhandara, Singhhum and Pilbara cratons). Geologic evidences suggest the participation of the Archaean rocks of the Carajás region in the Ur landmass. Supercontinental 2.45 Ga Kenorland amalgamation is indicated by paleomagnetic data including Laurentia, Baltica, Australia, and Kalahari and Kaapvaal cratons. There is no evidence indicating that Amazonian craton was part of the Kenorland supercontinent.
