Geoelectric Soundings for Predicting Aquifer Properties

Abstract: Two bedrock valleys, filled with glacial outwash material, were investigated with Schlumberger resistivity soundings. Aquifer electrical resistivities were determined for 16 vertical electrical soundings at seven sites in southern Rhode Island where pumping tests had been run previously. Resistivities for the different aquifer materials were derived with boring log control.
