Biodiversity conservation is an important goal of most ecosystem management efforts. Therefore, proper monitoring of biodiversity requires constant attention. Coleoptera should be monitored as an essential part of the overall biodiversity. Special monitoring is needed for families that are active as predators (e.g. Coccinellidae) or are saproxylic species (e.g. Elateridae and Cerambycidae). The aim of the research is to describe the fauna of seven families of Coleoptera (Elateridae, Drilidae, Lycidae, Lampyridae, Cantharidae, Coccinellidae and Cerambycidae) of the Republic of Mordovia (the centre of the European part of Russia). The results are based on faunistic research, the main part of which was carried out in April-October 2007-2023 and on material from museum collections. The collecting was made using several different methods (by hand, light trapping, on different lures, into pitfall traps etc.). GPS coordinates are given for each faunistic record. The dataset contains information on seven species new to the region: Malthodes flavoguttatus Kiesenwetter, 1852, Malthodes minimus (Linnaeus, 1758) (Cantharidae); Scymnus rubromaculatus (Goeze, 1777) (Coccinellidae); Anoplodera rufipes ventralis Heyden, 1886, Tragosoma depsarium (Linnaeus, 1767), Xylotrechus arvicola (Olivier, 1795) and Xylotrechus ibex (Gebler, 1825) (Cerambycidae).

The conducted systematic monitoring of weed infestation in flax crops over periods of different anthropogenic loads revealed that during systematic soil cultivation with plows under conditions of extensive farming, 65 species of crop weeds were found in the structure of the weed community with an average number of 125 pcs/m2. The highest density during this period was characterized by Chenopodium album L., Spergula arvensis L., Camelina alyssum (Mill.) Thell. Of the perennials, Elytrigia repens (L.) Nevski and Sonchus arvensis L. were widespread. The level of anthropogenic load increased in the second half of the 30s. XX century led to a decrease in the weediness of flax crops to 86 pcs/m2. At the same time, the development of fallow lands and boundaries contributed to a slight expansion of the species composition of weeds due to the appearance of forest and meadow species on arable land. During this period, the most burdensome weed species were Spergula arvensis L. and Spergularia rubra (L.) J. Presl & C. Presl, Polygonum spp., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Equisetum arvense L., Cirsium setosum (Willd.) Besser , Linaria vulgaris Mill., Taraxacum officinale F.H. Wigg. In modern conditions, along with the soil cultivation factor, the long-term use of herbicides from the 2,4-D group and their derivatives on the crops of dominant grain crops has played a significant role. This contributed to a change in species composition. A total of 73 species were identified in flax crops. On average, there were up to 62 weeds per unit area. The species resistant to 2,4-D had the highest population density: Galium aparine L., Tripleurospermum inodorum (L.) Sch. Bip., Fallopia convolvulus (L.) Á. Löve, Galeopsis spp., from perennial segetal species - glyphosate-resistant Convolvulus arvensis L., Equisetum arvense L. Analysis of the results obtained using nonparametric statistics confirm that the technology of flax cultivation in the 20th century and the first quarter of the 21st century. Has a dominant influence on the species spectrum and the population density of individual weed species.

The tourist product is a specific product that has a number of features such as in- separability from the source of formation, complexity, insensitivity, impossibility of storage and warehousing of the tourist product. These features should be taken into account when developing an ecotourism product, as it is a specific integrated product provided in the natural environment, considering regional characteristics, local culture, gastronomic events and caring for the environment. The role of the relevance, timeliness of the information provided on a particular tourist product is growing. Ecological tourism has features, as the objects of tourist activity are little-visited natural-territorial complexes, characterized by a certain spatial distribution in the territory. It requires the use of geographic information technologies, remote sensing systems, global positioning in order to organize tourism facilities, which determines the relevance of this study. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the significance of creating innovative ecotourism products based on the use of modeling systems and modern technologies, including geoinformation, determining the value of ecotourism and the study of competitive advantages for tourism enterprises which enable them to make a profit from the provision of ecotourism services. The research methodology involves statistical methods of data processing, cartographic research methods using geoinformation technologies, the method of spatial analysis, as well as systemic, general scientific and informational approaches. The importance of ecological tourism is proved on the basis of the analysis of its basic values, advantages and opportunities. Proposals to improve the situation in the ecotourism services market have been developed. Offers of ecotourism products are suggested on the basis of detailed typology (division into cognitive, recreational, business, cultural, educational groups of ecological tourism). Prospects for the use of geographic information technologies in the development of innovative ecotourism products are studied. For the first time, the authors have developed the geoportal model of Zhytomyr district ecolocations , which lists the main possible locations for the devel- opment of ecological tourism The authors have conducted a survey of Zhytomyr region residents after the implementation of the first stage of the decentralization reform in 2014 – 2019 and segmented the interests of potential ecotourists. Potential sources of income for protected areas and other ecotourism participants are identified. The concept of ecological tourism development is formed.
