Exposure at Valley Mountain, which was not visited, has spectral signature from LANDSAT image (provided by R. Blom) that resembles signature of bleached and altered hypabyssal rocks in the Pinto Mountains east of the quadrangle (Howard and Allen, 1988) Jvh Volcanic and hypabyssal rocks (Jurassic)-Dark rocks in three areas. In the Pinto Mountains southeast of Old Dale, consists of hypabyssal rocks containing medium-grained phenocrysts of white plagioclase, reddish-lavender Kfeldspar, and biotite in a microcrystalline groundmass.…”
