Geomorphological Characterization of the Tarumã-Açú Basin, Amazonas, Brazil

Abstract: The purpose of this work was to analyze the geomorphology of the Tarumã-Açú basin according to morphometric, slope, topographical parameters to understand the current dynamics of the basin geomorphological. Morphometric analysis indicated a low tendency to erosion in the Basin. The flat slope is located near the mouth of the Tarumã-Açú river and the largest slopes indicate terraces and dividers and most of the basin is characterized by small and medium hills (3-20 %).
