“…Furthermore, during the Late Hauterivian the Taquipe Canyon was formed in a portion of the Recôncavo basin, representing a site for preferential lacustrine deposition (Taquipe Formation) amid the prevalence of deltaic sediments in the basin (Silva et al, 2007).
