Abstract:Geotextiles have significant potential in rescuing backward erosion piping (BEP) occurred in levees. To investigate the filtration characteristics of woven geotextile for BEP prevention under the extreme soil-retention state, laboratory experiments were conducted using woven geotextiles with different pore sizes.
