Get-Up and Go electric wheelchair and seat-lift mechanism

Abstract

The intended user, involved in an automobile accident, desires an electric wheelchair with capability of lifting the user to a position wherein the user can reach elevated objects that cannot normally be reached from a sitting position. Get-up and Go accomplishes this by fitting the client's existing wheelchair with wheel drive motors and a motorized seat lift mechanism.
