Giant infiltrating intermuscular angiolipoma of the posterior axioappendicular region: gross and microscopic features

Abstract: Infiltrating intermuscular angiolipomas are rare. We report a cadaveric case of infiltrating angiolipoma in the muscles of the posterior axioappendicular region with literature in the context of live individuals. The macroscopic assessment showed a non-capsulated homogenous yellow mass was located between the trapezius muscle above and rhomboid major muscle below and invaded the dorsal scapular blood vessels from the rhomboid major muscle.
