Abstract:Giant encephalocele is a rare condition in which the central nervous system structures in any combination protrude through a defect in the skull and the size of the head is smaller than that of the deformity. A few cases are reported globally. We report the case of a 13-days old neonate suffering giant encephalocele, he underwent a successful surgical intervention in a limited-resource setting.
