Abstract:Periodontal diseases, one of the most important health problems in societies, affect children as well as adults. Gingivitis is more common in childhood than periodontitis. Bone and attachment loss in children is not common, but may be associated with a systemic disease or an isolated dental condition. Early diagnosis and treatment of periodontal diseases in childhood and identification of patients at risk are very important in terms of preventing diseases that may occur in the future.
