The first one (2011)(2012)(2013)(2014)(2015) was carried out by the Geological Survey of Canada, and mostly aimed at defining the unconventional O&G plays and providing a georeferenced database of all publicly-available geological, hydrogeological and exploration data on shale gas units in eastern Canada (Brake et al, 2013).
