Glassy-like Transients in Semiconductor Nanomaterials
Isaac Balberg
Abstract:Glassy behavior is manifested by three time-dependent characteristics of a dynamic physical property. Such behaviors have been found in the electrical conductivity transients of various disordered systems, but the mechanisms that yield the glassy behavior are still under intensive debate. The focus of the present work is on the effect of the quantum confinement (QC) and the Coulomb blockade (CB) effects on the experimentally observed glassy-like behavior in semiconductor nanomaterials. Correspondingly, we stud… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
