“…Indians are almost an isolated community, even if their settlement models are less clearly defined compared to the previous ones, while the Chinese and Ukrainian populations are very near the origin of the axis so that their settlement models do not seem to emerge using these indices. It could be useful to emphasise that some sociological studies express doubts about the validity of the indicator for the territorial concentration when applied to the Chinese community because it is concentrated in some residential areas for reasons related to the specificity of its production structure, which is characterised by the contiguity between the workplace and the home and by the diffusion of monoethnic businesses (Tosi 1994;Cellini and Fideli 2002). Moreover, genders of the same citizenship are almost always very clearly set apart from each other, and (with very few exceptions) statistical units remain in the same position over time.…”

“…In diversi paesi e contesti storici si sono affermati modelli di integrazione in cui a prevalere sono di volta in volta i concetti "assimilazione", "pluralismo", "melting pot" etc. (Cellini e Fideli 2002;Bonifazi et al, 2013). Anche nel nostro Paese si possono riscontrare specificità nei percorsi di di integrazione o inclusione delle differenti comunità (Conti e Strozza, 2006).…”

“…However, the mass-migration of the last 5 years has also clearly shown that the inefficacy of current policies for the integration of migrants also depends on substantive issues that are related to the existing conceptual frameworks of integration that orient current approaches to urban policies (Cellini and Fideli 2002;Fieri 2009). In spite of the continuous revision of its contents, the conceptualisation of integration is still considered to be one of the most important causes underlying the modest results obtained so far.…”
