Glottik yetmezliğin tedavisinde medializasyon laringoplasti: kısa ve uzun dönem sonuçlar

Abstract

Objectives:The aim of this study is to evaluate short and long term results, preoperative and postoperative perceptual voice analysis, videolarygostroboscopic findings, objective acoustic analysis and aerodynamic measures of medialization laryngoplasty procedure.Methods: Sixteen patients, who had undergone medialization laryngoplasty with carved silicon implant between 1998 and 2004 in Otorhinolaryngology Department of Ankara University Medical School were evaluated. Preoperative and postoperative 1-month, 6-month and 1-year perceptual voice analysis, videolaryngostroboscopy findings and acoustic analysis measures were included for the study. In the perceptual voice analysis, GRBAS scale is employed. The statistical evaluation of results was done by one way variance analysis and when determinating significant, further analysis of groups were done by t test in SPSS for Windows software package, and value of p<0.01 was considered as significant in further analysis.Results: Perceptual acoustic analysis, videolaryngostroboscopy findings and acoustic analysis demonstrated significant improvement from the preoperative to all postoperative measure results (p<0.01). Conclusion:Medialization laryngoplasty is an effective, long standing surgical procedure with significant improvement of voice quality for the management of unilateral vocal fold paralysis.
