Abstract: Leukemia-transformed multipotential hematopoietic cells have acquired the increased self-renewal capacity and impaired myeloid differentiation to mature blood cells. The emergence of symptomatic leukemia also critically requires the acquisition of growth and survival advantage in leukemic cells.
