Glutathione depression alters cellular mechanisms of skeletal muscle fatigue in early stage of recovery and prolongs force depression in late stage of recovery

Abstract: The effects of reduced glutathione (GSH) on skeletal muscle fatigue were investigated. GSH was depressed by buthionine sulfoximine (BSO) (100 mg/kg body weight/day) treatment for 5 d, which decreased GSH content to ~10%.
