Abstract:Purpose of review
The diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) encompasses heterogeneous pathophysiological mechanisms which can shape an individual patient's experience. This paper reviews available therapeutic options for the clinician intending to individualize care toward patient goals.
