Gomaya churneeyam of bhela indriya sthana - an explorative study

Abstract

End-of-life stages; 'Gomaya churneeyam' is the 9th chapter of 'Bhela indriya sthana' which consists of 21 verses. This chapter deals with some arishta lakshanas which denotes an imminent death. 3,4 Previous works conducted on 'Charaka indriya sthana' [5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18] and 'Bhela indriya sthana' 19 have established their clinical and prognostic significance. The contents of 'gomaya churneeyam' are unique and needs further in-depth exploration. The present is aimed to evaluate the contents of 'gomaya churneeyam adhyaya' in scientific terms. Studies on 'gomaya churneeyam adhyaya' of 'Bhela indriya sthana' have been lacking and the present study is planned to explore the contents of this chapter in terms of its prognostic significance.
