Gradient-Based Optimization of Solar-Regenerative High-Altitude Long-Endurance Aircraft

Abstract: In this paper we use gradient-based optimization to minimize the mass of a solar-regenerative high-altitude longendurance (SR-HALE) flying-wing aircraft while accounting for nonlinear aeroelastic effects.
