“…The flow back of the synthetic brine in LSSE is to mimic the flow of production fluid out of the reservoir formation. During this process, the production fluid would be in contact with the retained inhibitor and gradually release the retained inhibitor back into aqueous production fluid for the scale control (an inhibitor return process) [ 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 ]. An inhibitor return curve can be established by plotting the effluent inhibitor concentration versus the number of PVs of the brine returned during an LSSE.…”

“…Although squeeze treatment has been the standard operation in the oilfield to control scale threats downhole and in the well, there are a number of drawbacks associated with conventional squeeze treatment. One of the most pronounced drawbacks is that often more than one-third of the delivered inhibitor will flow out of the formation, together with the production fluid, during the very early stage of inhibitor return due to a poor attachment of inhibitor on the surfaces of formation materials, leading to a considerable waste of inhibitor and hence a reduced squeeze lifetime [ 9 , 14 , 16 ]. To address the shortcomings of conventional squeeze treatment, scale inhibitor colloidal materials have been prepared as an alternative to the conventional chemical inhibitor to be deployed during squeeze treatment.…”

“…3 and Table 2, we can conclude that: (1) NSCA outperformed SCA for all test functions, except for F3. (2) In comparison to other algorithms, NSCA exhibited better performance on most functions, especially on composite functions, where it achieved the best results overall. (3) NSCA achieved more "+" symbols than "=" and "-" symbols, indicating that it significantly outperformed the other algorithms.…”

“…Global optimization problems are common in real-world applications, and finding effective methods to solve them is a popular research topic. Traditional methods, like the gradient descent [1] and Newton's methods [2], have been used extensively to solve various optimization problems. However, these techniques may not be effective for complex objective functions that are discontinuous, non-differentiable, multimodal, or high-dimensional.…”

“…En otro estudio, se presenta una metodología destinada a optimizar el diseño de tratamientos con el fin de lograr una vida útil específica. Este enfoque considera las restricciones operativas y busca minimizar tanto el volumen del inhibidor como el tiempo total de bombeo (Azari et al, 2022).…”
